Our son Akshit was referred to ICD, New Delhi by one of our family friend. She insisted to visit Dr Alam and his centre at least once so that we can make out the actual problem with our son. As we were frustrated by visiting so many doctors and getting no concrete help, we were hesitant. Finally my mother took us to the centre which is placed in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi.
The way Dr Alam, explained the condition and its limiting factors was amazing. He advised us to start an early invention program consisting physiotherapy, occupational therapy, communication enhancement therapy with cognition behavior therapy.Our son was prescribed assisted devices to control and align the abnormal postures. After 3 months of intensive therapy, now Akshit can sit without support and tries to creep on abdomen. His hand function improvement is also appreciable.

We always thank God for making it possible to come back India again to meet Dr M. Alam in New Delhi. Before coming to ICD, New Delhi, we had visited already a few countries to get our daughter treatment. Most of the consultant whom we met was very pessimistic about our daughter prognosis. Visiting ICD, New Delhi paved a way forward and Maryam was injected Botox for her lower limbs spasticity. The result was amazing. Maryam started to walk with the walker just after 15 days of Botox injection. Before injection, she was unable to stand, due to her knee and hip joint tightness.
After three months of post botox therapy, Maryam is able to walk with two tripods functionally.We no longer carry her or use wheel chair.
We, the parents of Maryam want to thank the entire team of ICD. Many many thanks to Dr Alam and Dr Vipul Shandhilya for their constant guidance.

Dr Mansoor, By God, I am unable to thank you for what you have given us towards my son Master Mazin. Three months back, when we reached India, our child was unable to stand with straight legs, now he can walk a few steps independently and very functional with walker and tripod walking. Your dedication and therapy technique is amazing. We have been to so many countries, including England and never seen the same zeal. This shows the gentleness of your manners. You have all my love, appreciation, and respect.
I will go to Sudan at the end of next week, God willing. I would have liked to continue with you until the end of the treatment. But my work needs to join back at this time. We have visited ICD after searching for a center for child development online. We have seen good feedback and planned to consult and do the assessment for our son Master Akshat. The primary diagnosis was done very properly and a well planned assessment was done to diagnose mild ASD and a proper plan was created. We were very confused before coming to Institute for Child Development ( ICD), New Delhi, as the diagnosis was not confirmed. Few doctors said “Ridaan is a normal child and he will pick up automatically”. According to them he was weak, that’s why he was not improving. But we did not believe them. We went to so many places, met so many doctors. Most of the doctors told us for physiotherapy but no explanation was given about the condition. Only in Allahabad Centre, one parent suggested us to visit ICD for diagnosis making and treatment protocol.

Finally, we visited ICD, Delhi 5 months ago. On the first consultation, Dr M Alam explained us everything very clearly and asked to get parent’s training program under early intervention project. During the training sessions, we got so much encouragement that we decided to continue at ICD.

Today, we completed 4 months of therapy and we are very happy that our son has started to walk independently. When we came here he was not having even full head control. And now he speaks a few words and takes a few steps independently. We, both the parents are school teachers so we take leave from our job accordingly. We need to take permission to stay back form our school authorities.We are much satisfied with ICD and we thank all professionals in ICD especially Dr Nimisha Saxena, the prime physiotherapist with Ridaan. ICD has treated my child as their own child.

ICD is well equipped to impart training / therapy to kids with various developmental delay issues. We found the staffs and faculties well informed and experienced in their fields. We would have preferred to continue PT / OT of our child but due to time limitations, we have to go back to Sri Nagar.
We will plan to consult ICD again in our future visits to Delhi for further guidance
We wish ICD could open its branch in Sri Nagar also, where such facilities are minimal. Thanks and best of luck ICD

We have been referred to ICD by a family friend. As we were visiting Delhi already, he asked us to visit ICD once and meet Dr M Alam. We were already under a renowned neurologist in Delhi, so we were very confused to take the decision. Finally we decided to visit the centre once. When we visited the centre, we met so many parents from different part of the country. All of them are very satisfied with ICD. Our daughter Anushka was assessed by the team and it was finalized that she is a right candidate for Botox therapy.
Anushka got her Botox done in ICD only. She was put on cast for 15 days. After removing the cast, we started post Botox therapy in ICD only. After 3 months therapy, Anushka is able to walk with Rollator and can stand without support for a few minutes. Very soon, Anushka will be put on Tripod walking as her knee extension is very good and she has earned good strength in the knee extensors.
Due to our personal problem, we are going back to our home town and hope to back again as soon as possible We thank all the therapists in ICD for their contributions and efforts to make Anushka able.

We, the parents of Mana Khan are very satisfied by the work of ICD Staffs including Dr Alam sir. I am really grateful by the cooperation of whole staffs. They are all very friendly & co-operative, helping every child and parents. I as a parent met so many difficulties in the beginning of session because my child had plaster bt because of Dr Akshay sir and Dr Shristi mam, they made it easy for me. They guided me how to handle her at home.
